For many Canadians, purchasing a home represents the realization of a dream, and while it’s exciting, it can also be a challenging and overwhelming experience. But for most people the journey is well worth it! As an independent mortgage professional, it is my goal to effectively facilitate the mortgage process for my clients from the qualification stage throughout the entire process until closing day!
I’ve now worked in the real estate industry for several years, helping people achieve their home ownership dreams! It all began when I joined a local real estate team and builder office here in town at Coventry of Stratford, where, along with the incredible Real Estate team, we managed the model home office and worked with hundreds of home buyers from initial model home tour to final purchase and sale. My experience at Coventry allowed me to work closely with the sales team learning all things real estate as well as an exceptional home buyer experience. After two years of record sales and service with the team, I then made the decision to branch over into the financing side of real estate. As well, I’ve been a homeowner for fifteen years, all this rich experience gave me the confidence and knowledge to jump-start my business.
To begin my journey into mortgage financing, I completed the Mortgage Agent Education Program with Mortgage Professionals Canada. I then promptly joined The Mortgage Centre Hometown Financial, an up-and-coming brokerage run by Julie Brenneman. Within months of joining the brokerage, I officially opened my own office and the first Mortgage Centre office in Stratford, Ontario, the place I call home! As well, the main brokerage, The Mortgage Centre Hometown Financial, took a huge leap forward growing exponentially, thanks to an incredible team of agents across Southwestern Ontario coming together under one brokerage, with Julie Brenneman and Penny Wrightly at the helm. I’ve also fostered close connections with local realtors, lawyers and lending institutions, thus leveraging my connections and skills to help clients make sound home buying decisions.
Furthermore, I work with dedication, I believe what sets me apart is my capacity to build genuine relationships with clients and offer a comprehensive service with more choice and unbiased advice. I am focused on my client’s unique home ownership goals and offer custom-tailored finance solutions. My clients are my number one priority, as an independent mortgage agent, I work for the client, not the bank. As a result, clients are confident they are getting the best mortgage product and appreciate the convenience of connecting with me directly anytime. They can trust that I will be personally serving them for many years to come.
Over the past eighteen months, the world has gone through unprecedented times due to the pandemic. This has brought hardship and uncertainty to many people. It has meant that having a trusted mortgage professional for guidance is essential now more than ever before. Consequently, as we try to navigate the new normal, many processes have shifted to a contactless service. I have always offered several convenient service options including e-signing, online applications, and secure document uploading, which has made the transition for my clients and business seamless.
My business has further implemented digital services and systems to assist my clients virtually. I am able to send my clients and potential home buyers access to my Home Centre app to start planning their mortgage from the comfort of their own home. It enables them to check interest rates, compare different mortgage scenarios, and get pre-qualified in less than a minute. In addition, I can instantly send clients a digital link to my secure online application portal, this is called the Client Experience and the portal intuitively walks you through the mortgage application while asking the essential questions unique to their personal and financial situation.
When I’m not matching clients with suitable lenders, I like to keep active, whether skiing, sailing, or taking dance lessons with my partner. I also enjoy conducting home reno projects and connecting with my community. On a more personal note, I am the proud mother of a lovely teenage daughter, she is now in grade twelve, and it’s wonderful to watch her grow into her full potential and begin her journey into adulthood. At the age of five, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which changed our lives forever. Over 450 million people globally live with diabetes, and for many, it all began at a very young age. My gratitude is boundless for all the efforts so many caring people put forth every day towards diabetes research, support and towards a cure for diabetes that may someday change my daughter’s life and the lives of millions of families all over the world.
